VISSION
To become an Institution of excellence, capable of making significant contribution to the nation wide endeavor that is being exerted towards achieving the aspiration of seeing prosperous Ethiopia through fundamental economic transformation, as well as speedy, fair and sustainable development
MISSION
To formulate development policy and plan enabling the realization of fundamental economic transformation, and follow-up its implementation, to introduce a system of external economic cooperation based on the permanent interest of the country and to establish efficient and effective system of public finance administration.
OBJECTIVES
  1. Bring about fundamental Institutional Transformation by improving the operation and building the capacity of the Ministry.
  2. Complement the national effort that is being exerted towards achieving speedy and sustainable growth by improving economic management.
  3. Overall the public expenditure management system.
  4. Take appropriate measures to increase in type and volume the inflow of foreign aid and loan.
  5. Improve the utilization and management of resources obtained from foreign aid and loan.
  6. Implement the National Women's Policy within the sphere of the Ministry's mandate.
  7. Implement an Integrated Information Management System.
